A Bed-Head's Breakfast

I love when Tilly wakes in a good mood. She certainly did this morning! (And she slept until 8 which is always a plus.) Here she was at breakfast this morning...

As she was doing her little ditty, my camera's battery died. Ugh!! Then this is what she did...

So, of course, we had to do this...

She's so proud, but believe me, not as proud as Mom!!!!

Totally Tilly

Nana-I hope this makes up for not having enough pictures of Tilly in the last post! :)
Maybe I'll try to do "Totally Tilly" about once a week with just Tilly pictures. (Mandy, I think I'm trying to say that I will be doing the knock off version of your "Wordless Wednesdays." )

Glee

Okay, this is a very random and unusual little note from me...

Did anyone watch "Glee" last night on Fox after American Idol? I have been anxiously awaiting the premier of this show, so I was SO excited to watch it tonight.

I really liked it!!! I'm such a dork and love just about any musical theatre, plus the show is really funny (if you don't mind random humor.)

The main reason I'm "advertising" for this show is because I seem to have really bad luck with tv shows--anything I like is cancelled. (Studio 60, Dirty Sexy Money, Lipstick Jungle, Convictions...just to name a few.) So, maybe if the two people who read my blog will watch this show, it could help the ratings. Check out the show on fox.com.

PS: Go Kris Allen!!!

Happy 18th Birthday Ashli Warford!

Last Friday was my SIL's 18th birthday. This is pretty weird considering I knew her when she was three and couldn't say "Diane," so she called my mom "diamonds" (which now that I think about it, I'm sure my mom enjoyed being called diamonds.) Anway, her parents threw her a surprise party last Tuesday. I got to help decorate, which was so much fun. We did a western theme and had BBQ for dinner.

Here is the crowd of people waiting for Ashli to arrive.

Here is Ashli walking in...

The after-shock...

The decor and food...

Centerpieces...

We used cowboy boots instead of vases...

My aunt had a TON of stuff that I got to borrow. Here, you can see an ammo box she had. We used it to hold the plates, napkins, and utensils...

Of course, the party was a surprise to Ashli, but the bigger surprise was the mechanical bull that the Warfords rented for the party. Nobody believed I would ride it. I showed them!

And what's a party without Tilly?????

Learning from one of the best!!!!

Happy birthday, Ashli! We love you!

Catch-Up Photos

Since I haven't done much blogging lately, I thought I would post a few Tilly photos to make up for lost time. Enjoy!

Hangin' Up the Fanny Pack

We have done quite a bit of travelling lately, and I am so happy to be home. I loved being away, but it's so nice to get back in a routine and out of the suit case. We were in Louisiana two weeks ago, and last week, we were in Chicago. That's right, "the windy city." (It really is windy.) Eric had an engineering conference of some sort there, so we tagged along for a twenty-two hour round trip car ride.

While Eric was in his nerd's training, Tilly and I went shopping. We went to THE biggest mall I have ever seen one day, and the next day, we found a great outlet mall (in Wisconsin, don't ya know.) Then on Saturday, Eric got to come with us, and we went downtown the the Magnificient Mile and for a peek at the Navy Pier. (I say a peek because we were so tired and cold that we got close enough to say we saw it, then turned and headed back for the hotel.)

Unfortunately, I didn't take very many pictures. You see, when I travel, I HATE to look like a tourist (even though we ARE tourists when we travel. It's strange, I know!) They're so easy to spot, these tourists--cameras around their necks, wearing a t-shirt of the actual city they're in, fanny packs around their waists, socks up to their knees, and, perhaps my favorite, a HUGE map of the city they're in. I don't know what it is about these people but it cracks me up, and I would hate to fall into that category.
Here is Tilly WAY in front of the Navy Pier. This is as close as we got.

To get the the "L" we had to take a shuttle from our hotel. When we rode this, they didn't have car seats. It was evident that Tilly loved her freedom.
Here are my two cheeseballs in the shuttle...
Tilly also enjoyed the L. She said "woah" at least a thousand times while we rode it. Again, she didn't miss her carseat.
She is looking like quite the tourist on the L in this picture. (See the pointing finger??)

We really asked a lot of Tilly by putting her in the car for such a long time. However, she did pretty well. It got me thinking that the poor kid has done her share of travelling in her short life. Here are the list of states she has seen:
  • Arkansas
  • Louisiana
  • Tennessee
  • Mississippi
  • Alabama
  • Georgia
  • South Carolina
  • Missouri
  • Illinois
  • Wisconsin
Quite the explorer, huh?

Here is the first picture I took on our Chicago trip:

Why would I take a picture of my makeup? That's because I left every bit of my makeup at home! So I had to completely re-stock to look halfway presentable while out of town. I took a picture of this, and sadly, it will probably be what I remember most about Chicago! :)

Another Shower for Ashley

Last weekend, my sister Ashley had another shower. It was so very nice (despite the monsoon.)

Here is some of the footage.

The brunch!!!

The presents:

The only picture I have of the "guest of honor" (and Amanda and Kalin.)

The wild women: My Maw Maw, Nana, and Maw Cochran.

The babysitter, Tilly. She is somewhat obsessed with babies at this point. She wanted to rock him in his car seat while he was sleeping...and, of course, I was a nervous wreck that she was going to wake him or fall on him. But don't worry, she took good care of Colson. (Colson is of the Clark Chronicles.)

Maybe Tilly is breaking from her shy phase. She let Ms. Gina pick her up first thing, and she was FINE! Usually she doesn't let people who she's not around constantly to pick her up. And better yet, they made a great picture!

Until the next shower...
