ABC's and SNOW

Tilly's latest feat (almost) is learning to sing the ABC's. She recognizes her letters well, but singing the song is new. I love to hear it!!!



I can't say that I'm a huge fan of snow, because I HATE feeling stuck inside. BUT it was beautiful today. Tilly loved it. She kept screaming "snow--white---snow---white..." I know it's because that's all the books that teach colors refer to snow when teaching white. Guess it worked!

She had a ball, but I wouldn't let her stay out long. TOO cold!!!! Check out the little snow bunny.

Nell???

My sister Ashley and I occasionally think that Tilly acts like Nell..you know, from the movie... Anyway, tonight Tilly was in rare form and was acting like Nell, so I caught it. What I caught was actually not near as crazy as she can get, but I still thought it was blog worthy. Enjoy!

First Day of School...sort of

Tilly's Emmi (my MIL) teaches at a bible study every Wednesday. Since Tilly has turned TWO, she gets to go. Today is her first day, and she just left. I'm really excited for her because it's going to be her first "structured" classroom style environment to get her eased in to the whole preschool situation. PLUS, she'll be learning Bible stories and all sorts of neat stuff!

I even had to pack her a lunch....which meant I had to buy her a lunch box. How cute is that???

A little something else going on with Tilly is that she HATES her bed. She does NOT want to sleep in it. She wants to sleep in the floor every night. We finally got her to sleep in her bed Monday night, but that's been it. She didn't sleep there last night.

I mentioned in my last post that Tilly loves to hold rectangular shaped things up to her face and say "cheeseburger!!!," so when I tried taking a picture of her at Mandy's playdate Monday, here is what she did...

Here is the only other picture I got from the playdate. This is Tilly with Avery who is so cute and smart!!! I wish I would have gotten more pictures. It was such a fun morning. Mandy's house may NEVER be the same!!!

Just a little update

This should be our last year to go to Arkansas Tech basketball games. Ashley is in her final season of basketball, and Amanda finished last year. Tilly, of course, has fun at the games and arrives in style!!

Tilly and "Alli." Tilly seriously walked onto the gym floor like she owned the place. The guys team was even trying to practice after the girls game, but she didn't care. She tried to get right in the middle of it. I couldn't believe it because she is usually such a chicken! I guess basketball is in her blood. Unfortunately, I was only a carrier of that trait!!!

Tilly loves cameras these days. She loves to hold them (or anything shaped like a camera) up to her face and say "cheeseburger!!!"

Tilly had a very special visitor last week...KOHEN!! They haven't seen each other in over a year, and they had a fun time. The only way I could have them sit still was to give them suckers...

Please notice that our BRILLIANT children are watching Elmo on the teeny tiny portable DVD player instead of the 50 some odd inch TV right beside it. Gotta love it!

Another special friend Tilly got to this week was one of my very best friends, Katie. She just bought a new house in Bossier and we were thrilled to see it! Love her...love the house!

Santa Came to Tilly Town!!

Tilly was pretty excited to see a PIANO from Santa this morning when she woke up... Check out the video, and you can see for yourself! Merry Christmas!

Tilly is TWO!

That's right! This little girl has already turned two. It seems like just yesterday I was praying that she would hurry up and get here so she wouldn't be born on Christmas day! :)

We had her birthday party at my parents house, and let me tell you, the house was FULL!! I think with kids included we had over 50 people here. This girl is LOVED!!

So, as if you couldn't tell, the theme was pink and green with brown zebra. Tilly's babysitter (who is SO SO SO SO much more than that to us!) made her the dress to match. LOVE IT!!!

My parents got Tilly her first bicycle. Tilly was a little scared of it at first, but now she is seeming to like it! Here's the stool we got her. This should help her get to the potty better by herself!
While Tilly loved all of her presents, she really just wanted to play with her cousin Micah. (AKA Baaaaaaaaabeeee Guy-kuh!)
If you look in the bottom left hand corner of this photo, you can see the cabbage patch doll with red hair and blue eyes named Tilly Jade. SO cute!

Tilly is so into "Dora and Boots" right now. She got 4 Dora dolls and many other Dora gifts. Every time she would open something, instead of trying to go to open the next present she would say "OPEN PLEASE!!!!" She was ready to get to playing!! This is a doctor's kit...she still wants to be one of those when she grows up!! ;)

I'm serious...all she wanted to do was show Micah her presents and make sure Micah was having a good time.

Here is Tilly with Aunt Haley. Haley took care of getting the AWESOME cake for me. She took the party invitiation to Lisa's Cake Boutique in Conway, and they made it to match--just perfect!! She L-O-V-E-D it!

My nana was playing dress up with Tilly after her party. She got these glasses in her doctor kit, and she also got the Dora hat and gloves from Nana and PawPaw. CRACK me up!!

She was so good at her party and had a great time. Happy Birthday Tilly!
