Busy Little Bee

Because my mom thought that I would never get around to buying Tilly a halloween costume (I would have eventually bought one..probably today, but I would have bought it nevertheless!) she bought her the cutest little bumble bee costume. Tilly knows what bees are and does her best to make the buzzing sound (even though it moreso sounds like a snake hissing) so the costume works!
My mom, sister Amanda and I went to GSFest at church tonight. It was crazy! They really went all out. Tilly was pretty much too little for rides and such, but she liked watching the bigger kids ride them and, of course, loved the petting zoo. In fact, when we were pulling out of the parking lot, she said "Bye, Duck!" :)
Anyway, here are some pictures of the cutest little bee around!

Here are the wings of her costume. I was shocked that she left those plus her antennae on all night!

Here you can somewhat see the little wand that goes with her costume. I actually ended up carrying it around most of the night. One time I was away from her (don't worry Nana, she was with my mom!) and I was still carrying the wand--felt kinda silly! Oh well!

Here is Tilly on the way to GSFest. I guess you know you've taken way too many pictures of your child when she holds up the garage door opener and says "CCCCHHHHEEEEEEEEEESSSEEE!"

Because there was about an hour's wait for corn dogs, we decided to go eat at Chick-fil-A.
So, Chick-fil-A has started putting science-ish toys in the kids meals lately. I LOVE IT! Tilly and I both had kids meals, so she got not one, but TWO graduated cylinders. As a mom, I think, "wow, she's gonna love these toys and be so smart." Then, THIS happens:
Hey, even if she's not smart, she'll be really funny!! :)
I hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween!

Adorable bumble bee!

I love her ideas on how graduated cylinders should be used. Reminds me of my days in Organic Lab!
