Ashley's First Shower (Wedding Shower, that is!)

My youngest sister Ashley is getting married on the first Saturday of June. It's funny to me that she is the first of my sisters to get married--I'm sure it's funny to anyone who knows us, actually. So it is really funny to think of her registering for "household items" and decorations. She's just not into that kind of stuff really. She would be just fine to sit in a living room with only a TV--as long as there is a remote of course! :) So my mom and I went to Russellville this weekend to help fix up her future home. We had so much fun, and I think it got her "in the spirit" of being domesticated.

(Just to paint you a picture of how different Ashley's interests are: When we were little, my other sisters and I asked for cheerleading uniforms for Christmas. Ashley wanted a Dallas Cowboy FOOTBALL outfit (or would uniform be the better thing to say there?) Enough said.)

We went to her shower on Sunday afternoon. It was so wonderful! Her fiance's family and friends had this one for her. There was a great turn out and great gifts. I'm sure Ashley will LOVE using all of her new things...once I teach her how to use them all! Just kidding, Ashley! You know we love you!!
I took Tilly to the shower...she is the flower girl, after all! (Yeah, I doubt that will ACTUALLY happen, but she'll be in a cute dress the day of the wedding.)
Look at all the gifts!!
Here is one of the gifts I gave Ashley...

And, Nana, since you couldn't be there to see her open the gift you sent, I caught it on camera...
See how excited she was about the Bed, Bath & Beyond gift card!!??!!
The lady in the background of the above photo was the main hostess. She will be Ashley's aunt. What a sweet lady!!! Ashley is so fortunate to be marrying in to a great family...I know from experience!!
So, I don't know about you, but I wish every five to ten years we could have re-showers and pick out all new things again! And, I love shopping for wedding gifts because I always pick out things that I would love to have but would never really buy for myself. So, Ashley, if you don't have a need for the things I got you, I'd be happy to give them a home! :)
