"G" and Me

The plan is for Tilly to call my dad "G" which is short Grandpa I guess. (My good friend Sarah always called her grandpa "G" and I loved it!!)

My mom is out of town which is the perfect time for "G" to get his quality time with Tilly without DiDi hogging all the Tilly time! My, oh my, won't DiDi be jealous!!

We had breakfast for supper, which is probably a Sunday night staple at our house. My dad came over to eat with us. He sat by Tilly, and I quickly remembered that I had forgotten to list one of Tilly's words on my last post. BELIEVE ME--she knew he would feed her any time she said the word, so she sounded like a broken record stuck on BITE, BITE, BITE, BITE, BITE... I finally had to put my foot down so he would quit feeding her. I swear that girl could eat non-stop!

Well, after dinner, G decided to teach Tilly about barnyard animals. You can see in the picture that they are playing with them on the dining room table.

Instead of saying "pig," he would say "ham." Instead of saying "cow," he would say "roast." You get the idea. He really did grow up where you couldn't name the animals because they would soon be dinner, so I guess he was teaching Tilly his coping mechanisms... Well, when we came to the horse, he pointed at the rear end and said "DiDi." (You get the picture, I'm sure...) Fortunately, Tilly wasn't so quick to catch on to tonight's name game.

You can easily tell that Tilly had a great time with her G. Jealous DiDi??
