First Real Hair Cut

That's right...Tilly got her hair did today! My good friend Anna who also cuts my hair, gave Tilly her first real hair cut.

Here's how it went down:

1. We walked in the door...well, I walked in the door, and she stood frozen in the doorway. That did not give me a good feeling about how the whole ordeal would happen.

2. Anna came to Tilly and asked her if she would let her hold he. Tilly quickly said NO!

3. TURNING POINT: Anna ran to her car (which she thinks looks like a minivan--even though it doesn't) and got a bag of suckers. Suddenly, she was Tilly's BFF.

4. We sat Tilly in the seat (sucker in mouth of course) and Anna cut away at those beautiful curls. Tilly sat surprisingly still, NEVER cried or anything, and did great! (She did move her head a bit, but you can't blame her...she was wondering what Anna was doing behind her!)

5. When it was time to go home, I threw away what was left of the sucker. Tilly walked to the bag of suckers and said "more sucker." We told her that those suckers were for the babies (since she loves babies so much) and she said "bye-bye suckers." (Works every time!!! :) ) When I asked Tilly if she was ready to go home, she said "no." When I asked her if she wanted to stay with Anna she said "K." But we had to leave, so she gave Anna a hug bye. When we were walking out the door she was once so terrified to walk through, she looked back to Anna and said "lu yuuuu." (translation of the sweetest, most precious thing you have ever heard in your life: "Love you!")

After bath time tonight, I combed Tilly's hair and can tell a huge difference. It's already laying better. I should have done this a long time ago. I mean, I've done a MINOR trim here and there, but it's kind of a Sampson & Delilah thing. I didn't mind Anna cutting it at all though! I think I'm just terrified that I will completely ruin her hair.

And by the way...if anyone ever needs a good "stylist" I'll be happy to get you in touch with Anna!

I just love all the pictures! Thank You so much for letting me give Tilly her first haircut! I'll keep the suckers in my "minivan" for future needs!

AWWW! I can't believe Tilly just got her first haircut. So cute! At the rate Micah's hair is growing, she won't need a haircut until she is probably three.

Well, Tilly hit yet another milestone before Kohen. I'm guessing he'll need his haircut when he's 5 or 6 :) She just looks adorable, and I sure hope you guys have a wonderful and safe trip at the beach.
